An estate sale management and estate firm in Houston, Texas, Margie Beegle Sales, Inc. has been in business for more than 20 years. Oftentimes referred to new clients by the area’s top attorneys, realtors, and assisted living facilities, Margie Beegle Sales (margiebeeglesales.com) also maintains a business network through 15 years of membership and accreditation with the International Society of Appraisers (ISA).

The largest professional personal property appraisal organizations in North America, the nonprofit ISA produces qualified and ethical appraisers. Established in 1979, the ISA features hundreds of members in a variety of professions, including estate liquidators, auctioneers, consultants, and appraisers.

Each year, the ISA hosts a conference where members meet, share ideas, and learn about changes made within the industry. The 2016 conference, held from April 15 through 18 in Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas, was entitled Assets 2016: Expanding Horizons. During the conference, attendees partook in a newcomer’s reception, networking coffee breaks, and committee meetings.

Keynote speaker Dennis McCuistion discussed how social, political, and market trends might change the personal property appraisal industry. Breakout sessions, which were sponsored by numerous businesses, covered relationships with mementos, value assessments on various auctions, and firearm safety. The 2017 conference is scheduled for March 31 through April 3 in Chicago, Illinois.
